Eliga Services, (https://eliga.services/) is a development organization that helps financial services brands with their pioneering technology projects. As the firm grew with new projects and customers, their ability to collect project delivery data and generate invoices became labor-intensive and time-consuming.

Accurate time reporting is essential for punctual billing. Eliga Services’ process for invoice generation required intense focus and had the classic symptoms of spreadsheet-driven professional services management:

  • Manual creation – each invoice was created by hand, a time and effort investment,
  • Errors – the team visually inspected each invoice because they were suspicious of mistakes,
  • Lack of Confidence – the team stressed over the accuracy of independent calculations,
  • Stressful month-end close – reporting and reconciliation were tense.

The invoice generation process was only one area that impacted and slowed the month-end financial close and reporting processes.

Solution

NetSuite introduced Eliga Services to Top Step. After initial interviews, Eliga was confident that Top Step was the firm best suited to translate their unique requirements for a professional services automation (PSA) system into reality.

Top Step worked closely with the Eliga Services team to understand their business model and to configure and customize their OpenAir system using the Top Step Implementation program. Beginning with the business requirements, configurations, and integrations, and continuing through system training and into Go Live, Top Step delivered to Eliga Services an OpenAir implementation that covered the basics of time capture, including customizations based on Eliga Services’ model of “days worked” rather than “hours worked,” into invoice generation and month close.

Results

The OpenAir PSA solution implemented with Top Step allows Eliga Services to accelerate their project effort reporting, accurately generate invoices, and streamline month-end close.

The previous system of spreadsheets and antiquated data collection has been replaced with a highly accessible and accurate PSA solution. Gone are the days of stressful and lengthy month-end close. Second-guessing billing accuracy and invoice format changes are a thing of the past as the system ensures amounts are correct and handled consistently.
