Frequently Asked Questions
When a timesheet is submitted, how does OpenAir determine the approval process to execute first?
OpenAir will first look at the projects for approvers; then after all project approvals are complete, look at the user's approvals.
If all approvals are set within the project, what should the User approver be set to?
Self-approver
What's the best option to have a named user as part of the approval process?
Use an approval process to set named users so you can change them without updating each project.
How can you set up multiple approvers where only one approver needs to approve but either can approve?
Within the approval process, the Sequence number can be used to assign multiple approvers to the same approval sequence. Then you set the option that a sequence number requires one approval.
If my project manager is on PTO, should we up approval processes?
No, you can grant temporary proxy rights to the project manager who will be covering timesheet approvals instead.
