Visual Impact: Enable HTML Colors and Icons in Custom Fields in SuiteProjects Pro
Want to make your custom fields more visually impactful? While SuiteProjects Pro custom fields don’t support HTML by default, there’s a simple way to enable rich formatting including color-coded icons and custom styling.
How to Enable HTML in Custom Fields
Step 1: Submit a SuiteProjects Pro Support ticket via SuiteAnswers.
Step 2: Request that your custom field ID be added to the internal switch called “Fields that are permitted to contain html”.
Step 3: Once enabled, you can add HTML codes and color-coded icons directly as field values. Below is an example:

What You Can Achieve
With HTML enabled, you can create:
- Color-coded status indicators for quick visual reference
- Custom icons to represent different states or categories
- Formatted text with bold, italics, or custom styling
- Enhanced visual hierarchy in your forms and list views
The screenshots show examples of how these enhanced fields appear in both form view and list view, creating a more intuitive user experience.

Important Note: This feature currently works with radio group custom fields as in the example above, but not dropdown fields due to a known limitation.
