How to Prevent Users from Submitting Time to Closed Tasks in SuiteProjects Pro

The Closed for timesheet checkbox in task assignments can be applied per resource to stop a specific user from adding new time to a task. However, this only takes effect when the user creates a new timesheet. Existing timesheets where the task was already selected can still be saved and submitted.

To enforce stricter control, enable Do not allow timesheet submission if time is booked to a closed task under Administration > Application Settings > Timesheets > Other Settings.

When this setting is turned on, any task marked Closed for timesheet is treated as fully closed for that resource, even if it was added to a timesheet before being closed. Users will be unable to submit a timesheet containing time booked to a closed task until the entry is updated or removed.

This ensures cleaner project data, prevents late or unintended time entries, and keeps task closures fully enforced on a per-user basis.
