You must have one record in each of the following to be able to use all the purchasing functionality:

  1. Accounts payable location: Accounts payable is for your billing address – does not have to be a physical location.
  2. Carrier: A carrier is a shipper or freight service typically
  3. FOB location: FOB is “Freight on Board” and usually determines who is paying shipping costs.  Origin means shipper and Destination means receiver.
  4. Receiving location: This is the physical address where goods will be delivered.
  5. Shipping term: defines contract elements for shipping (like COD).
