Setting Audit Trail Fields for Use in OpenAir Summary Reports

Enabling the OpenAir switch, “Audit Trail Values Available in Summary Reports”, allows for the display of a new section in the Reports -> Options screen.  This section shows all of the detail fields on a number of objects in OpenAir whose audit trails can be reported on individually:

The fields selected will then be available in summary reports for individual audit trail reporting.  These can be found in the list of values available to the report as “Last audit value for <field>”.

In the example below the “Invoice Date” field has been selected as a field available for individual auditing.  During the week of November 7, 2021, The invoice “INV-0608600” had an Invoice Date of September 29, 2021, set by Jane Done.  The following week, the user OpenAir Admin changed the date to October 20, 2021.  The report shows what the value of the field was last week and who set it to that value as well as what its value is this week and who set it to that value.  This can be very useful to monitor specific fields on a project, charge, invoice, etc., without having to view the entire audit trail for the entity.
