OpenAir Switch: Saving Timesheet Line-Item Rejection Details

Did you know you can save rejection details for rejected time entry line items in the rejected timesheet approval history?

There is a useful switch for clients using the timesheet line-item rejection feature. By default, when using this functionality, as time entry lines are rejected, rejection notes are not logged anywhere on the timesheet to be referred back to. Although you will be prompted to enter a rejection reason when rejecting an individual timesheet line, the rejection note is only visible via the rejection email notification that is sent to the timesheet user. Without this switch enabled, the rejection notes for individual time entry line rejections are not displayed anywhere on the timesheet or time entry. However, once this switch is enabled, you will have the ability, under the ‘Approval History’ section of the timesheet to see the rejection notes for each individual line item that is rejected.

Now anyone with access/visibility to the timesheet will be able to see rejection notes related to each individual time entry line rejection for later reference as needed vs only the timesheet user via only an email notification.
