Do you use OpenAir Integration Manager shortcuts or have other OpenAir integrations that run under an ‘integration user’ record?  If you do, when that integration user’s OpenAir password expires or must be reset it can prevent those integrations and shortcuts from running when they should.

Effective with the APRIL 2021 release, the maximum validity period for all user passwords is now three months.  But there is a way to avoid the maintenance and potential disruption to your business processes associated with this new policy, by overriding the password expiration rule for your integration user.

To make this feature available in your OpenAir account, contact OpenAir support and ask them to enable the internal switch ‘Allow the password expiration rule to be overridden at the user level’.

After this is done a new setting ‘Do not enforce password expiration rule for this Employee/User’ will be available on the User > Demographics tab in the new Password Options section.  To set up this exemption for your integration user, just do these steps.

1.  Navigate to Administration > Global Settings > Users and select the user

2. On the User Demographics  > Password Options section  check the box to enable ‘Do not enforce password expiration rule for this Employee/User’
