By default, OpenAir will notify users whenever a record in OpenAir is submitted and waiting for their approval.  Occasionally this can get overwhelming, particularly since these are sent for every record (as opposed to one email to a user identifying all of the records waiting for their approval).  These notifications can be suppressed, however, by contacting OpenAir support and requesting the switch “Suppress submission and approval standard system mail for <record type>”.

Note that this will remove the notifications completely.  Custom notification schemes, including batch emails as described above, or specific messages or recipients that can’t be accommodated through the standard interface can be implemented through simple OpenAir scripts.

Notifications for submissions and approvals can be suppressed for the following entities:

■ Booking

■ Booking request

■ Envelope

■ Invoice

■ PO

■ Purchase request

■ Schedule request

■ Timesheet
