Automate the Deactivation of a Project when All Tasks Are Closed

Ever come across projects that remain active in your OpenAir instance despite all tasks being closed? Don’t have time to audit this as regularly as needed but want to ensure these projects are deactivated so they don’t continue to appear unnecessarily as an option on timesheets or expense reports?

Enable the system setting to automatically deactivate projects when all tasks within the project are closed.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Application Settings> Projects
  2. Click Other settings
  3. Deactivateproject when all tasks are closed: Enter Checkmark
  4. Click Save

With this set, you’ll no longer need to take the extra step to deactivate the project manually after closing all the tasks nor worry that projects remain active unnecessarily.
