By enabling direct token-based authentication (TBA), it utilizes a more robust communication channel between OpenAir and NetSuite. This simplifies the authentication process when running NetSuite Connector resulting in faster integration runs. To enable this feature, you need to do the following.

In NetSuite:

  1. Make sure that your OpenAir SRP Integration bundle is updated to the latest version. You can update this by navigating to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install bundles > List.
  2. Next step is to create the Access Token by navigating to Setup > Users/Roles > Access Tokens > New.
  3. Select Internal NS Application OPENAIR in Application Name dropdown.
  4. Select the User and Role you want the integration to use when running NetSuite Connector. There’s a role called “NSOA Connector role” created by the NetSuite OpenAir SRP Integration bundle. We recommend using this role, but you can always use a Custom role if needed.

After creating the Access Token, this will generate User Token ID and User Token Secret. Copy this and store this information in a safe place as we will need to enter this in OpenAir.

In OpenAir:

1.   To enable direct tba, navigate to Administration > NetSuite Connector > click View Tips at the upper right to go to NetSuite Connector Administration.

2.   Check the feature Enable Direct TBA then click Save.

3. In Credentials subtab of NetSuite Connector, you need to enter the Access Token information we created in NetSuite, then click Save.

After completing all the steps above, you should now be able to run the NetSuite Connector using Direct TBA.
