This year’s event was particularly significant for the OpenAir community, with major announcements and a palpable sense of excitement about the future of the platform. I’m thrilled to share our key takeaways and insights from what proved to be a landmark SuiteWorld for OpenAir users.

SuiteProjects Pro: A Game-Changer for OpenAir

The biggest news at SuiteWorld was undoubtedly the announcement of SuiteProjects Pro, which is essentially a rebranding and repositioning of OpenAir within the NetSuite ecosystem. This move signifies NetSuite’s renewed commitment to the platform and its users.

Key points about SuiteProjects Pro:

  1. It’s positioned as an advanced version of SuiteProjects, aimed at more sophisticated professional services environments.
  2. The announcement was featured prominently in multiple keynotes, marking a significant shift in how NetSuite is promoting the platform.

Upcoming Enhancements to OpenAir

NetSuite also previewed some exciting updates coming to OpenAir (now SuiteProjects Pro) in the near future. Two of the updates we viewed as significant:

Global Search: A new feature allowing users to search across all records from any page in the application, similar to NetSuite’s functionality. This will significantly improve user experience and efficiency.

UI Alignment: The interface will be updated to align with NetSuite’s Redwood design style, creating a more cohesive experience across the Suite family of products.

These enhancements demonstrate NetSuite’s commitment to improving the platform and aligning it more closely with the broader NetSuite ecosystem.

Top Step’s CollabCenter: Empowering Client Collaboration

At SuiteWorld, we had the opportunity to showcase our new CollabCenter solution to the OpenAir community. The response was extremely positive, with many users excited about the potential to solve client collaboration challenges in their OpenAir environments.

CollabCenter generated significant interest among:

  • Current Top Step customers who are eager to implement CollabCenter in their environments
  • Potential prospects and new users to OpenAir looking to improve their OpenAir experience
  • NetSuite’s PSA team, who see the value in offering this solution to their existing OpenAir install base

The timing of CollabCenter’s unveiling, coinciding with the SuiteProjects Pro announcement, created a perfect synergy of excitement and innovation for the OpenAir community.

For our team, this SuiteWorld felt fundamentally different. It was the first SuiteWorld where OpenAir was given equal focus and importance, an official welcoming into the NetSuite Suite family of products. It no longer felt like a separate product line, but an integral part of the NetSuite ecosystem.

This shift reflects the broader change in how NetSuite is positioning OpenAir – now SuiteProjects Pro – as a core component of their offering for professional services organizations. The increased visibility and integration promise a more cohesive experience for users and a stronger foundation for future development.
