Quick Fix: Report Level Filters Are Not Respected If There is a Custom Calculation On The Report

By default, if you have a custom calculation on your report and that custom calculation has a filter on the same record type as your report level filters, OpenAir ignores all the report level filter and only respects the custom calculation level filters for that record type. An example is if you filter by Project type on the report level and filter by Project location on the custom calculation level, the Project type filter on the report level will be ignored.

To fix this, an internal switch called Enable intersection of global report filters with calculated fields’ custom filters can be enabled. This will cause the report level filters on the same record type but different fields to be respected.

Example: There are report-level filters on Project fields called Field 1 and Field 2 and one custom calculation filter on Field 2. Enabling this switch should force the custom calculation filter to override only the report-level filter on Field 2. Field 1 report level filters will now be respected.

Note: Contact OpenAir support to enable these internal switches for your account.
