Can notes be required on time entries? 

Yes, within a project there is a field "Notes Required on Timesheet" that can be used to require notes on a project by project basis.

What are the ways time types can be filtered? 

There are 2 ways: 

  1. Time types can be filtered within filter sets to limit time types for users. 
  2. Enabling the switch "Limit time types by projects", allows time types to be filtered per project. This also moves the Time Type position on the time entry after the project and task.

Other than time types, what additional data fields are able to be selected within a timesheet?

Within Timesheets-Other Settings, you can show payroll types, services and job codes.

What switches are needed to expose the "Hours Remaining" feature on time entries? 

  1. Enable the "Hours Remaining" on tasks estimating feature 
  2. Input planned hours for each user assigned to a task 

When requiring additional data within timesheets, is there a way to default the values?

Each of the data fields can be enabled to be defaulted upon creation of the timesheet. The options are within Timesheets > Other settings.
